AHN: Stand up for accessible, local healthcare

An online petition is calling for Allegheny Health Network to reopen the closed Heritage Valley Kennedy hospital…

With the recent acquisition of the Heritage Valley Healthcare System by Allegheny Health Network, locals are calling for the reopening of Heritage Valley Kennedy.

The former Ohio Valley Hospital facility is a critical resource to the residents who live near the longtime emergency room and hospital. These communities include not only McKees Rocks but Crafton, Ingram, and the townships of Kennedy, Robinson and Stowe among others.

According to the Change.org petition:

“Our community depends on nearby, reliable healthcare services, including emergency care, inpatient treatment, and specialized support.

We urge AHN and community leaders to prioritize reopening Heritage Valley Kennedy as part of their plan to strengthen healthcare access in our region. This is an opportunity to invest in a facility that already serves as a cornerstone of the community.

By signing this petition, you are standing up for accessible, local healthcare and urging decision-makers to take action.”
